Creative advice of the month
Like the idea of your business being featured on your very own illuminated Identilite, up the street from your premises? Some key points to get the most out of your investment;
1.When people look at your advertisement they are most likely driving by.... that means too much information is not a good idea. People shouldn't have to slow down and squint to read your message. Keep it simple. A good example is a large logo, one key phrase and a directional arrow.
2.From a design point of view, think about the backdrop as well as the Identilite; ie. sky, buildings or trees. This will determine the best approach to artwork development and the success of the overall communication. ie. If there is a white rendered wall in the background of your Identilite, use a nice bright contrasting colour rather then a pale colour. |

Environment, a cause thats dear to all...(well it doesn't have to be dear, it can actually save you money)
Like the fuzzy warm feeling you get when you know you are doing something good? Well enjoy it more often and save money too.
Think about things that are costing you money; flyers, classified ads, magnets, calendars.... Even worse, all the mentioned are throw away collateral. Essentially you are emptying your wallet and filling up landfill. Its not that you want to convey yourself as an environmentalist, but from a business perspective, if the collateral is thrown away, it's not doing it's job and was therefore a bad investment.
2 birds, one stone solution;
Utilize permanent advertising solutions like Billboards, Bus Shelters and Identilites for big impact in reaching customers and small impact on the environment as well as the wallet. Other green ways to communicate to customers are; websites, email and SMS. They cost next to nothing and don't generate landfill waste. |
